LE TEMPS PERDU

Si j’étais encore jeune et dure  

Je retournerais à mon cher village  

Où la terre fertile a été ruinée par des orages  

Sans que les gens jamais ne se sentent abattus

Si ma mère ...encore... m’y attendait 

Je tiendrais ses mains tellement tendres et maigres.

 Son large sourire épanouirait son visage saint.

 Ce serait dans ses bras que je m’endormirais

Si mes petites amies me revoyaient 

Nous bondirions, nous crierions, nous pleurerions.

 Notre amitié d’enfance est si profonde.

 Alors ce serait des plaisanteries sans fin qu’on se raconterait

Si je pouvais retrouver mon ancien amour 

Ce serait sans doute sa voix que j’écouterais.

 Je songe à lui dire mille et mille regrets.

 Mon ambition, ma déception, ma bêtise et quoi encore.
 Mon amour .

Si je m’apercevais que la vie était compliquée 

La solitude, la douleur, la dépression, la frustration.

 Mais aussi la réussite, le bonheur, la passion, la consolation.

 J’accepterais tout... Oh, mes pertes et ma destinée !

This is another poem that I translated many months ago. I did not do a lot of translations but whenever I felt some affinity with  a poem then I did the translation. This is the English version.

TIME WASTED

If only I were young and tougher,

Back to my native village, I would go

Where the fertile land was destroyed by stormy winds

And yet the farmers did not feel discouraged.

If only my mother were still waiting for me,

I would hold into mine her hands thin and fragile,

A large smile would shine on her holy face,

And within her arms, I would lie down and close my eyes.

If only my old friends could see me again,

We would jump around, we would shout, we would cry

How deep could be our childhood friendship!

We would then relate endlessly old memories and jokes.

If only I could find again my old lover,

I would enjoy listening to his voice,

I would tell him, a thousand times, my regrets

My ambition, my deception, my wrong doing and what else

My love

If only I could see that life is complicated

Loneliness, pain, deception, disappointment

As well as success, happiness, passion, comfort

Without hesitation, I would all accept …

Oh! My loss! My fate!

Một thời đả mất

Nếu còn trẻ và lòng còn dũng cảm

Quay trở về nơi  chốn củ làng xưa

Nơi đất màu tan tành do bảo táp

Nhưng dân làng vẩn can đảm không lay.

Nếu mẹ tôi vẩn mong mỏi đợi chờ.

Tôi ôm ấp bàn tay gầy của mẹ.

Tìm trên mặt nụ cười hiền hòa vừa chóm nở.

Tôi nhắm mắt tựa vòng tay ấm cúng.

Nếu bạn củ ngày xưa còn gặp lại

Cùng nhau ta nhảy nhót, khóc lại cười

Tình bạn xưa sao thắm thía vô ngần

Ta không ngừng kể những chuyện xa xưa

Nếu tìm được người tình thuở ấy!

Nghe tiếng người lòng sẽ thấy lân lân...

Muốn cùng người bài tỏ niềm hối tiêc,

Những tham vọng, mối thất vọng, sự ngu đần …

Tình vĩnh cữu.

Nếu cảm thấy đời nhiều rắc rối

Lúc cô đơn, lúc đau buồn,khi thất vọng

Lúc thành đạt,khi hạnh phúc, lúc đam mê hay cần an ủi...

Với tất cả tôi bằng lòng chấp nhận.

Biết rằng đây là thành bại hay định mệng của đời tôi !

My House - Painter auto cloning-Impressionist style

Here are some drawings and paintings from my Painter class. I used photoshop, illustrator and flash for all my 2D drawings. I did not know that Painter is such a great painting software. These are my first paintings. By the way I did not know that I could even paint!How cool!!! Of course the house was not painted by me.I used the auto painting feature of  Painter. This is a kind of publicity for Painter.
