I have finally decided to write in English to make life easier for my readers. I will alternate with French sometimes too.
I was born in Vietnam and started my schooling at the age of 8. Most children in Vietnam started at 6 or 7 but my parents preferred to let me hang around waiting for my sister to reach the schooling age so that we could both go to school together. The primary school "Dakao Primary school" was at a walking distance from home. At school I learned both Vietnamese and French. Due to my advanced age as compared to my classmates, I learned pretty fast and I jumped one class in the course of my schooling there. We did not stay there until the end of the primary years because my parents decided that we should go to a French school. They put us both in a Catholic School where we stayed until we finished High School.
